Born and raised in The Valley of The Sun, a native to Arizona, Rena understands the different cultures brought together in the desert. While obtaining a degree in communication at Arizona State University, she contracted her photographic services to other photographers all over the valley. This supplied her with a wide range of techniques and different styles. Taking what she learned from others she brought them together to create her own style. |
After graduating from ASU, she photographed full time as an Independent Contractor for four years before taking on assignments of her own. She joined Professional Photographers of America where she achieved certification. Then became President of the Phoenix Professional Photographers Association in 2003. In August of 2004 she attended the East Coast School of Professional Photography where she studied lighting with her mentor Tony Corbell, CPP, Photog. CR. Continuing her education, through seminars, workshops and conventions, keeps her up to date with the latest techniques and styles. Her passion has always been to work with people and photographing them is an art she thrives on. Her husband, Mark helped her to build the studio she always dreamed of on their property next to their home. With his help, she is able to be committed to family and keep her passion for portraiture. Whether capturing a wedding, model, senior, child or family, the importance of capturing what the individuals want is her main goal. She wants to give you that one on one attention you deserve to create a portrait all about you.
